Why I’m Running
My Commitment to
Public Service
I want to serve the community that has given my family and me opportunity and freedom.
We are blessed to live in a country that values personal liberty and allows each of us to pursue our purpose and happiness.
I feel called to serve all people, to protect opportunity and uphold human dignity for generations to come.
Four generations — family and the future.
Gratitude for Opportunity and Freedom
Our community has given my family and me opportunity and freedom, and for that, I am deeply grateful. We are blessed to live in a country that values personal liberty and allows each of us the freedom to pursue our faith, our purpose, and the happiness that comes with it.
A Calling to Serve Others
That gratitude has shaped a calling in my life, to serve. I believe public service means serving all people, protecting opportunity, and upholding the dignity of every individual. Everyone deserves the chance to build a good life, just as my family has been able to do here.
Continuing a Legacy of Leadership
I humbly ask for your support as I work to continue the legacy of the dedicated leaders who served before us. Their commitment to public service preserved the greatness of our nation, and I am eager to build upon that foundation. Together, we can ensure that future generations inherit the same freedom and opportunity we cherish today.

About Scott
A Lifetime of Service to Twin Falls County
Scott Tverdy is a lifelong Idahoan, community leader, and candidate for Twin Falls County Commissioner – District 1.

Commitment to Education & Community Leadership
Scott’s commitment to education is grounded in decades of hands-on service at both the local and state level. He served as a member and president of the Castleford School Board, a member and chairman of the Buhl School Board, and a member of the St. Edward’s School Board, working closely with educators, families, and administrators to strengthen schools and support students.
His local leadership led to statewide service with the Idaho School Boards Association, where he served as a board member and State President. In that role, Scott worked to support strong local governance, advance career and technical education, and promote practical pathways that prepare students for college, skilled trades, and the workforce.

Community
Involvement
Rooted in service. Focused on people.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in education, agriculture, public safety, youth programs, faith communities, and civic organizations. Each role has reinforced my belief that strong communities are built when people step forward, work together, and stay focused on practical solutions.
I grew up here, and this community has shaped who I am. As a fourth-generation Idaho farmer and rancher, I learned early the value of hard work, personal responsibility, and looking out for your neighbors. Serving has never been about titles for me; it’s about being involved, listening, and helping where I can.
Rooted in family and community.
Committed to serving Twin Falls County.
As a commissioner, I will bring the practical experience to county governance with respect and dignity for every person.

“Serving the community means showing up, listening, and doing the work.”
Whether I’m working with students, farmers, volunteers, or families, my approach has always been the same: show up, listen, and do the work. These roles reflect decades of hands-on involvement and a commitment to strengthening the institutions that matter most to our community.
I bring that same steady, community-first mindset to public service; guided by experience, rooted in local values, and focused on building a strong future for the next generation.
